Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer both in-person and online therapy. The delivery method is dependent on several factors. Online therapy allows for remote sessions through video or phone calls, providing convenience and accessibility. In contrast, in-person therapy involves face-to-face sessions in a physical setting, promoting a more direct connection. It allows for nonverbal cues. When deciding between in-person or online therapy, consider your personal preferences, comfort using technology, therapeutic needs, and your reasons for seeking therapy. • I work with clients from all walks of life ages 18 and older. My specialty areas include women’s issues, trauma, grief and loss, and relationships. I also address other issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and sexuality. I prefer to work with clients who have a desire for personal transformation and appreciate practical and innovative solutions.

  • Therapy sessions are 50 minutes and will focus on you and your needs. The initial session will be an opportunity for me to get to know and understand you and your situation, as well as outline expectations, determine if our relationship will be a good fit, and help to begin building a collaborative therapeutic alliance. We will work on setting goals for therapy.

Every client learns and engages differently. I like to incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques based on the client’s strengths and abilities. As a result, there may be times that you are asked to complete an exercise outside of the session. The work we do inside the session should translate to your life outside of the session. I will not work harder than my clients so I am intentional in what I bring to each session based on how you show up during our time together and what you want to achieve.

  • I do accept insurance. For my practice with Origins Counseling & Wellness, I am in-network for Blue Cross, Tricare, and Behavioral Health.
